A Good Nights Sleep

After a day of making informed dietary choices, performing stress-reducing activities, and exercising in moderation, lay your head on your favorite pillow and sleep. Our bodies need to recharge in order to fight off illness. Lack of sleep worsens a large number of human disorders and impacts almost every function of the body.

As noted by the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, “Sleep may help the body conserve energy and other resources that the immune system needs to mount an attack… better management of sleeping problems in people who have {health} disorders could improve these patients' health and quality of life.” If you are not sleeping well, seek help. Remember, sleep is a cog in the whole-body health and wellness wheel. It is interrelated with proper dietary choices, stress control and exercise. Improving one should help improve all.
